Get To Know Us
World Wide Women Group Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to recognize, build and inspire women and girl influencers worldwide. We are not a group of women; rather we are a group of initiatives intrinsically designed to mentor, inspire, educate and liberate tomorrow's leaders........... today!
We are on the frontline, getting right in the trenches to bring awareness to issues that impact women in today's climate. We work hard to help all women and girls push past barriers in order to WIN in all arenas- politically, educationally, socially, economically, and personally.
Our vision is to expand our initiatives and our reach into as many localities, states, and countries in order to maximize our full potential and to impact women all over the world.
We believe all women are able to embrace who they are,
define their future, and change the world.
Eltonette “Elle” Harris is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia; she is a true philanthropist with a servant's heart. She has dedicated her life to advocating for women and girls worldwide. She has a professional background in the Human Services field where she has experience in family reunification, family stabilization, human trafficking, independent living for children in foster care, and human service company management and operation.
Elle attended Virginia State University to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications. She moved back to the Virginia Beach area in 2008 and noticed there were not many jobs for Journalists due to the economic crisis. This caused her to make a serious life decision; continue to work in industries where she was left unfulfilled, or try to figure out her life’s purpose. She decided to enroll at Norfolk State University to pursue her Masters in Urban Education, and this degree changed her life.
While pursuing her Masters, she was able to build an organization which was called World Wide Woman, LLC at that time, but today is known as World Wide Women Group Incorporated, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. Elle
graduated in December of 2010 with her first Master’s degree, and by this time through her work with the community at large: she was a mentor with the Up Center, a Chairwomen over Youth and Recreation for the Lee Ward Civic League in Portsmouth, and a Program Director of Just Dyvine Dance Crew--an initiative under a non-profit organization called Youth Matter. Her continuous work earned her a Gold Level Presidential Volunteer Service Award from President Barack Obama, in 2011.
In 2013, Elle received her second Master’s degree, in College Leadership and Administration from what is now known as Purdue University Global. Elle is currently a doctoral candidate researching the feelings of inadequacy experienced by women nonprofit leaders completing the mission of their organization.
She intends to use this research to strengthen the education and support of women leaders worldwide.
